TRIP OVERVIEW
In this trip you will be paddling down and getting wet in two of the major rivers of the Himalayas Yamuna and the Ganges. Ganges being a high volume river with a good gradient makes it more thrilling while Yamuna being a low volume river makes it more technical and filled with action all the time.
In the first leg of this program you will be rafting on the Ganges, a 25 km river stretch crammed with more than 13 major rapids of Class II III+ levels, making it most thrilling and adventurous. At the end of the rafting stretch you drive up to the Yamuna and tonight you camp on a beautiful sandy beach on the banks of the river. Spend the evening by a fire and under a star spangled sky.
In the second leg of this amazing river journey, you will be rafting on the Yamuna. The Yamuna being a low volume, shallow river, will ease on the grade of the rapids but increases the number of them and as a result theres action almost all the time.
The next plan of action on the Yamuna would be a ride down the Yamuna from Kalapathar to Dakpathar, into the Doon valley, through a series of Class I & II rapids in Inflatable kayaks. You would have some practice sessions the previous day and then the next day the controls would be completely in your hands with guides to help you out.
Apart from rafting one can engage body surfing on the clear waters of the Yamuna and the rapids of the Ganges, camping on the white sand beaches of Yamuna, Jumping off a cliff in the river, hang by a rope from a bridge, cross the river with the help of a rope and most of all go freestyle on these amazing rivers.
